The initial process was encouraging. In my first interview, I was told about a management opportunity that seemed to mesh well with my skills and experience. The process was fairly standard with the usual questions and included meeting with a manager and then a senior member of the actual crew. It was not until my second interview that I was told the position I was applying for did not actually exist yet. I was offered a significantly lesser paying job with the understanding that when the management position became available, I would be promoted and my compensation increased.
