Interview
Showed up to the office for the interview after a brief scheduling call. The young women in the front seemed rather unfriendly. Gillian herself seemed unclear on what she wanted in a candidate, or at least from me. She told me she would think about how best to utilize my skills, and I never heard anything from her or her office again. I did, however, get added to their newsletter database.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Christie Communications
Interview
It was a thorough interview process. I met multiple times with the team members, given a deep overview of the company's philosophy, goals, and services. All my references were checked and portfolio and writing samples requested. I was asked to provide possible campaign concepts and explain how I would develop and manage a campaign for a client as well as providing examples of my skills and abilities. I really appreciated the perspective and the thoughtfulness of the questions. I also appreciated the opportunity to meet so many of the team members.
