Unstructured interview
Vague and broad job scope with unrealistic expectations
HR didn't reply when followed up, which also speaks to the company's professionalism
Overall, a negative experience and a waste of time
I applied online. I interviewed at China CITIC Bank in Sept 2025
Interview
I recently attended a 2-hour on-site interview that I had prepared for and took seriously. Unfortunately, the experience was discouraging. The interviewer seemed disengaged from the start — not outright rude, but her body language (eye-rolling, dismissive tone, and constant mention of how “strict” the bank is) made it clear she wasn’t genuinely considering me for the role.
What was more disappointing was being told the process would take "about a month," only to be met with complete silence since then — no feedback, no update, nothing.
I would have much preferred an honest response within two weeks, even if it was a rejection. At the very least, it would have shown basic courtesy and respect for the time and effort I put into attending an in-person interview. Keeping candidates in limbo, especially when the outcome seems obvious, only reflects poorly on the company’s professionalism.
