I applied online. I interviewed at Chewy in May 2026
Interview
The process started with a phone screen with a recruiter, followed by three virtual interviews with members of the HR and Operations teams. The recruiter was professional, responsive, and clearly explained the role, team structure, and next steps. The interviewers were welcoming, engaged, and took the time to answer my questions about the position, company culture, and growth opportunities. The process moved quickly, communication was excellent throughout, and I felt respected and valued as a candidate. One of the best interview experiences I've had.

Interview
Initial phone screen was quick and the recruiter was fantastic. Answered every question and played up the job well. The rest of the process was long and exhausting. 6 interviews followed, 2 interviews with HR Directors, 3 interviews with HRBPs, and 1 interview with an HR generalist. It was excessive for a entry level position, and actually caused me to contact the recruiter to withdraw my application before any feedback from the interviews. The biggest issue I had was that I was told it was an exempt position by the recruiter, then one of the HRBPs told me it wasn’t. I was also told by the recruiter it was unlimited PTO (per their company policy) to then be told by a Director that this position was only 2 weeks of PTO. The final straw was this position was posted as “remote” which the recruiter confirmed 3 times with me, she did mention that occasional travel to the Boston office was required, which I didn’t mind. However, the Director told me that come September (this was July at the time), this position was required to be in office M-F. Overall, I was super impressed by their interview process, each of of the HR professionals asked the same questions and even read off the same script (it was very noticeable). Perhaps the company would have been nice to work for, but perhaps there needs to be more clarity with recruiters and hiring managers on the role and position to not confuse candidates.

Easy to set up an interview appointment with the Recruiter. The interview was 10 minutes of learning more about the job and 10 minutes of discussing my work experience and resume.
