I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Checkout.com (London, England) in Jul 2024
Interview
I applied via LinkedIn. The recruiter got back to me in about 2-3 weeks:
1) Typical Recruiter interview about the position ~30m;
2) Chill Behavioural stage with Product Manager - 1h;
3) Very easy technical React-based interview. I was asked to implement a simple form for API search;
4) ???
I got ghosted by the recruiter with no feedback whatsoever.
The entire process from the application to the last stage lasted 1.5 months. This left me with an impression of a huge disconnection between the recruitment and the development/hiring team
I interviewed at Checkout.com (London, England) in Mar 2022
Interview
The interview process was very clear from the beginning, with a lovely helpful recruiter guiding you through it, what to expect, timelines, who you will be interviewing with etc.
The process was made to feel smooth and minimise stress. Every person I met and interacted with was very welcoming and friendly.
All in all it was a pleasant experience throughout.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Recruiter screening
First round more technical interview to discuss your background and get to know more about the role you're applying for.
Take home challenge - in my case it was to make a simple UI. No expectation of spending hours and hours on it at all.
Technical interview - based around the take home challenge, discussing your decision making, what more you might do with it, extending the solution a little bit etc., plus some discussion about previous roles and experience
Final interview - meet the team you would be joining, discussing the cultural/behavioural fit
