I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Cerence AI (Aachen)
Interview
Three interviews — phone one about my background, in-person one about my background, and a phone one about my skills, but the interviewer was on vacation and the other person was from a different field so also about my background. In the end I read my CV aloud three times and haven't answered a single actual knowledge question.
The interview process was straightforward and practical. It involved an initial discussion about my background, university course, technical interests, and previous projects, followed by a command-line/Linux-style technical task. The interviewer was friendly and focused more on how I approached the problem than just the final answer.

Question 1
They asked me to complete a command-line task using basic Linux commands, such as navigating directories, checking files, and using terminal commands to solve a small practical problem.
