I was interviewed for a graphic design position in October of 2012. The woman I met with was nice and very welcoming, and she interviewed me in a casual area-- a break room, I believe. She informed me that it would be mostly low-level design: formatting letters and things, staying within company fonts and colors. I was fine with that. The interview went well, and she let me know that she definitely wanted to bring me back for a second round with management and someone would be calling me to set it up. I never got the call, so I checked back several times in the next few weeks. Eventually, I gave up. Two months later, I saw the same job reposted. I called and asked if I should apply again. They told me I was still on the short list from the first round of interviews. They let me know that they would be in contact soon. I never heard from them again, even after I continuously checked back. I suspect the department went through some kind of reorganization in this timeframe, but who knows?
