HR recruiter reached out for a phone screen. She was very disinterested in the conversation. Then another HR person set the panel interview. They sent an interview prep sheet which was completely useless. I spent around a week preparing using their guide and it proved to be an absolute waste of my time. The questions they asked were just unnecessarily confusing and some were questionable. It seemed like they were trying to make the company seem like it’s some prestigious place to work. It really isn’t. Normally intervew questions will relate to tasks completed on the job or are based on your resume. So the questions asked made me suspicious of the activities at this company. I didn’t have some answers because luckily I don’t currently work for a company where people knowingly ask you to do the wrong thing. Interviewing is already a stressful situation, so it seemed like the interviewers wanted to make it even worse by asking questions that were purposely harder to understand. They also seem to only prefer people who are native english speakers with a certain skin color. So it makes sense why they would ask in that fashion. Just look at 99% of employees that work there and that’s the trait they all share. Two weeks later the recruiter comes back and tells me they went with someone internal. They just wasted my time. The hiring manager only had this job because his dad got it for him. People like him,who have never worked for what they have, don’t respect other people’s time. Why waste someone’s time when you know you want someone internal?
