I applied online and received an email response from the company recruiter. She asked me a question or two through email, and then asked me to schedule a telephone interview. I made the appointment. When the appointment time arrived, the recruiter was late to call. She was friendly and very encouraging. She thanked me for interviewing with her, and she told me that she would contact me one way or the other by Wednesday of that week to let me know. She never contacted me. I understand that means they are not interested in pursuing me as an employee. I have much higher respect for the companies that at least have the respect for potential employees, or job seekers, to send out a generic template email that informs them that they are not going to be pursued. Especially, when you give your word that you will make that contact and let them know. I understand that maybe you are too busy, in which case you should not have a practice of informing candidates that you will for sure get back to them. This makes me question how you treat your employees and make your decisions.
