The hiring process at Canva takes an average of 18 days when considering 3 user submitted interviews across all job titles. I applied online. I interviewed at Canva in Apr 2026
Interview
I had 5 stages starting at the end of April: recruiter, hiring manager, technical challenge, challenge presentation, and a last interview. About 5 hours total, give or take. I was told the process is only 3 interviews and a challenge, so when I was asked to interview for a 4th, I asked the recruiter for clarification, and no reply on why. I was also told the timeline, and that turned out to be false as well. The whole process was over 2 months. Contrary to Canva’s website and what I was initially told.
Canva can improve on being more intentional, which they claim they are, but actions suggest otherwise. I reached out to the recruiter for a role update to see if it had been filled, but there was no reply. Ultimately, they ghosted, and I left it at that. Really surprised by their lack of professionalism. I would say this was a poor process and a significant lack of consideration for what candidates invest into the interview process - but hey, you get 6 months free of Canva Pro.

Enterprise-level review of account data, analyzing data, tickets, and culture scenarios in a challenge. Questions related to internal and external relationships, ie, “How would you handle this?”
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Canva (Makati City) in Sept 2024
Interview
The interview was well-structured, engaging, and professional. Questions were relevant to the role, allowing me to discuss my experience while learning more about Canva's collaborative culture and expectations.
Good experience, but a lengthy interview process. Took around 2-3 weeks.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Canva (Melbourne) in Jul 2024
Interview
The interview process was quite long with 5 rounds, mostly great experience, but the final offer wasn’t competitive. All people from Australia was great and easy to communicate with but any interview with Europe was dragged and I had to chase the outcome and ping them.
