I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Canary Marketing (San Ramon, CA) in Feb 2024
Interview
Had 3 Rounds, well guided and explained thoroughly by HR during initial phone screen. After phone screen, you get set up with a zoom interview the next week.
1. Interview with Hiring Manager
2. Project
3. Present Project onsite
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. How would your friends describe you?
2. Where do you shop?
3. How do you express your creativity?
4. Describe a situation where something went wrong and how you handled it.
They have a 3-round interview process with a tight turnaround (3-4 weeks) which is nice. They were very transparent about what to expect for each round. Questions were relatively straight-forward. Biggest downside is having to do an unpaid mock project for an entry-level position that has a low starting wage. This feels antiquated and unnecessary, especially since it's not for a designer role or management role. Having to take time out from my current job to do a project for another company that may or may not give me an offer (I was not made an offer) is unfair and unreasonable in this economy. Just my personal opinion. That said, the company overall seems great and the hiring managers were both really nice.

Interview
As others have mentioned, fairly easy interview process. Three rounds - initial screening, meet with hiring manager, present project and meet other team members. Everyone I spoke to was very nice & reflected the brand. Quick turnaround time which was nice! Entire process was about three weeks for me. The project itself was fun and great indication of what the role looks like. I was asked questions about my processes along with behavioral based scenarios. Overall, good interview experience. Only downside is I asked for feedback following my rejection email and didn’t get a response. Not that it was expected, but definitely would’ve been appreciated!
