Co-Op’s HR department contacted me for a pre screen on the phone. They then invited me for an in-person interview and explained that they were still accepting applications and doing pre-screens. They explained that if I passed the second interview, I’d be invited to a third interview with the head of HR. They reiterated again that they were still accepting applications and doing pre-screens. This reminded me of the dating apps - as though Co-Op liked me well enough to invite me to three interviews, but wanted to see what else was out there. I was invited and completed a third interview with the head of HR. I assumed this to be a good sign making it all the way to the third round of interviews. I then noticed Co-Op repost this same job I interviewed for on LinkedIn while I was waiting for an answer. I never heard back from them. I think this is a terrible way to treat candidates, especially after having invested the time into three interviews. I’d avoid this organization like the plague, unless you’re looking for three rounds of interview practice that will lead nowhere, and not to be given the courtesy of a follow up email with a definitive yes or no as to if you were their chosen candidate.
