      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Cal SOAP (Merced, CA)

      Interview

The interview process was a very relaxed and conversational interview. It was more like a get to know you for the job rather than an interview. Super nice people as well.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. I interviewed at Cal SOAP (Santa Barbara, CA)

      Interview

The interview took long to establish especially since the high schools were getting ready for winter break. Nonetheless, I was called back to be interviewed a week later. I was interviewed by two people who worked as staff for the program. The interview took about 20-25 minutes long and the questions were pretty relevant to any teaching-student experiences. They asked about my background and why I wanted to work for Cal-SOAP. They really like to know how well you can work with students especially those who may not be as engaged in classroom settings. They wrote down everything I said and I noticed i filled up all their boxes for each question they asked me. It was a bit nerve-racking considering other people were present in the same space where the interview took place. These kind of settings can make feel uneasy because I tend to get distracted.
