      Director Interview

      12 Aug 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Atlanta, GA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at CONA Services (Atlanta, GA) in Jun 2023

      Interview

It was a long process with an unfortunate result - 1. Phone screen with the external recruiter (ehire) - 30 min 2. Online interview with peer to role. - 1.5 hours 3. Online panel interview with consultants the role would be working with. - 1 hr 4. Online panel interview with additional consultant the role would be working with. - 1 hr 5. Interview with past person in the role. - 30 min 6. Interview with hiring manager. - 1.5 hrs 7. Interview with hiring manager's manager (CEO). - 30 min, onsite + Multiple interview prep calls with the recruiter, who was external. + 8 hours or more of prep for each interview. It should be noted that scheduling was very difficult and two of these meetings were held at 5 p.m. or later, one on 48 hours notice. I really wanted the role so I made it work for their schedule. Interview process lasted four months. Throughout the process I was told by the recruiter I was the only candidate going through the process. After the second to last interview, and after 3.5 months of discussions, another candidate was brought into the process, and that person got the offer. After the final interview I didn't hear back, so I waited a week and called the recruiter, and it was at this point I was told that I didn't get the offer. There was no reason given, though I was told I could ask questions and she would try and get answers. My guess is there was a reason I was not selected but they weren't willing to share it. I really wish they would have told me, so I could have at least learned something from such a long and arduous process. Or, if there was feedback I wasn't hearing along they way, that they would have shared that so I could have dropped out of the process. The internal people I interviewed with, including the CEO of CONA, had over 10 years of experience within the Coca-Cola system and within the past few years had moved over to support CONA (Coca-Cola North America.) These people had 20+ years total work experience. I am floored that the candidate experience would be so poorly mismanaged and there would be a lack of care and consideration for the candidate. I would not recommend interviewing or working for this organization.

      Question 1

It was mostly STAR based with lots of behavioral interviewing.
