CLARA analytics interview questions

Interview and process seemed to be going well. I had muliple interviews and culture seemed very good, there was even talks about an offer but then company just stopped responding.

The interviewer was cordial, polite and to the point. They decided to go in another direction because they wanted someone who had more data experience (?); I don't quite understand that but that's the way it goes. But the reason for the thumbs down was when they asked about my future career aspirations, I mentioned I wanted to be a data scientist. I was that was a deal breaker because I would eventually want more money to stay with the company; that spoke volumes about the company. Another downside to the company is they are based in California. If you elect to work for them, and you are a remote worker, you will be required to pay California state income tax, which is the highest in the nation. It's probably a good thing I didn't make the cut.
