Very responsive. First did a zoom interview and then was invited for in person site visit promptly after our call. The interview started with a couple technical questions and then mainly asked about my experience
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at CKC Laboratories (Fremont, CA) in Jan 2018
Interview
Applied using Indeed. Received call next day from Director of Engineer and had basic question regarding my experience. He was very interested setting up next round on site and he did schedule interview on site. On the day of interview i received email from Director mentioning that position has been filled and your interview is cancelled. Hiring Process is very bad. Looks like it's family own business and they don't care about good employee. I don't recommend this company for your future job.
I’m very sorry to hear that you were left with a negative impression of our company. As you stated, CKC is a small, family owned business that takes pride in how customers and employees see us. It’s one of the very reasons CKC has remained at the forefront of the EMC industry since our founding in the 1970s. Our small size means that we sometimes have to make pragmatic decisions that streamline draws on our workforce. In this particular case a hiring manager would have been traveling 5 hours round trip to conduct the interview. As a means to save your time and the hiring manager’s time, we canceled your interview with 48 hours’ notice. I’m sorry that this was a disappointment and wish you great luck on your job search.
I interviewed at CKC Laboratories (New York, NY) in Dec 2016
Interview
Very up beat panel of three making questions into jokes. Asked simple electrical power questions, impedence, etc. Described company as very small dedicated work force dealing directly with customers on a daily basis.
