Fairly standard interview process. First questions regard your security and or ability to be cleared by the Canadian Military. Interviewers will be off camera but you will be required to be on camera. Standard "tell us about yourself"; "how do you handle stress"; "what would you do in this type of situation"; as well as typical questions related to the job. Then if you are successful you will be given an assignment to complete on your own time (creating a technical learning/design training story board). This may take anywhere from 4-8 hours (depending on how fast you work). Essentially they want to see your Learning Design skills in practice. I was assigned the task at EOD on a Friday for Submission on Monday - which meant I worked over the weekend to prepare a project for them to review. Then if you are successful you will be interviewed by the CEO. However, he does not read emails, misses meetings, is quite rude and doesn't respect your time. Frankly I found him very unprofessional and can tell he would be a less than desirable boss. I was offered a position over the phone but it was subsequently rescinded because I either "didn't have the right experience" or "didn't have the right education" (both of which I had, and his email to me conflicted with the actual job ad). This was explained by the CEO telling me "oh sorry, there was an internal miscommunication". When pressed for an answer as to why I was offered a job and then it was taken away the CEO sent me a rather demeaning email suggesting that I didn't understand how an interview process worked...??? The whole thing left a VERY bad taste in my mouth and frankly was a huge red flag. I think I avoided a bullet here in the long run.
