First round was a Zoom audio call with the Internal Recruiter. Recruiter seemed impatient, rude and unprofessional which I found to be bizarre and unnecessary. Despite this interesting and unusual approach to screening, I remained calm and professional. Usually recruiters are approachable and outgoing, but I guess there are always exceptions in any profession. Think this recruiter perhaps hates their job or maybe just me. Maybe the recruiter was just having a bad day, Strangely I got a rejection email one minute after the call saying "thank you and after discussing your interview internally we are not moving forward". Yeah sure they did. Whatever. Very odd. Perhaps I have dodged a bullet as who knows how they treat their employees if they have issues being remotely civil to candidates who are genuinely qualified and have lots of experience.
