I applied through LinkedIn and was contacted by one of the founders inviting for an initial round of discussion.
Round 1 with Co-Founder: This round was highly interactive with all questions asked to understand my current responsibilities at length. The interviewer was really knowledgeable and asked several questions concerning the product roadmap, customer insight understanding, and collaboration with design and dev. This was followed by an interesting discussion where a logical guesstimation question was asked that I would solve partially, but my approach was quite correct. I really liked the interaction as the interviewer was clear about what he was looking for in an APM and made me quite comfortable during the process.
Product Assignment and Task - Round 2: A very challenging yet demanding innovation task was given to me to solve which I did well as per me and was also liked by the interviewer. Further, I was called upon to discuss the task and another PM-related round with a Senior Product Manager.
Technical Round 1: This was scheduled with an SPM who asked me about my current roles and responsibilities, Various scenarios were given which required innovative thinking as a PM to develop the product and make enhancements to it. The questions were really tricky and demanded out-of-the-box thinking and logical ability as a PM. The round also included various questions to understand my business acumen.
Technical Round 2: This was with a Co-Founder who heads the tech space in the company. He was an amazing person in terms of knowledge and experience. Questions regarding my current profile were asked along with various situation-based questions that a PM needs to solve with accuracy and efficacy. My collaboration with design and dev was checked, as in how do I run my sprints, manage backlog, epic prioritization, etc.
Round with another Co-Founder: This round was scheduled to check my business acumen and cross-team collaboration. Various questions which were scenario-based were asked in this regard. It was a highly interactive round where my collaborative skills were checked. The expectation for the position was clearly set by the interviewer.
Compensation Discussion Round: Post all the rounds, I got overall good feedback, and based on that my compensation was discussed. The compensation was completely as per my expectations. I received the offer letter on the same day and I am looking forward to join the team.
