Rushed, disorganized process with clear favoritism.
I interviewed with BTG for a high-profile contract PMO role with one of their large biotech clients. From the start, the process felt rushed and disorganized. I was told interviews would take place the following week, so I cleared my schedule — only to be pressured last minute into a Friday interview instead. Respect for candidate availability and preparation time was minimal.
It also became clear that the hiring manager already had most of the team in mind: consultants he had worked with before, all sourced through the same firm. I was the only outlier brought into the process, and the interview reflected that — very flat, scripted questions with little genuine engagement.
The combination of favoritism, wasted time, and lack of consideration for candidates’ schedules made this one of the more frustrating processes I’ve experienced. If you are an external candidate without prior ties to the hiring manager or this firm, be aware that you may simply be used to check a box rather than seriously considered.
