I was contacted after my resume was passed on from a career fair. I had about a 40 minute phone interview with a VP in Marketing, to see where I might fit into the marketing department. Questions were generally very standard interview questions. I had the feeling the interviewer was reading from a list and wasn't all too interested in the interview, which made me wonder why they had reached out to me. Asked some more specific questions about digital marketing which I didn't feel was totally on par with an 'exploratory' fit interview, and also corrected me when I missed some of the specifics regarding the company's brand presence online. I could tell the interviewer was uninterested at the end of the interview when she said 'thank you,' and promptly hung up without saying goodbye. Was not sad to see the process not go further.
