I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Boyd Metals (Fort Smith, AR) in Aug 2024
Interview
Formal interview with only a few questions. Very good process. Down to earth people work here and they don’t figure 8 with questions or use too much corporate jargon. The offer they sent was very nice and provided a list of benefits.

Question 1
“Tell me about yourself, background, etc.”
Very simple questions, and simple but fair process.
I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Boyd Metals (Fort Smith, AR)
Interview
I was interviewed by the Human Resources, the Controller & the Credit Manager. I entered the conference room & sat before all 3 of my peers. They asked some general questions. Told me they would check my references & would get back with me. I heard from them the next day. I even started out at 50cents more per hour than I was originally quoted.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Boyd Metals (Joplin, MO) in Mar 2009
Interview
Pretty through hiring process, however looks for a person they can mold, not a person that would be very capable for the job (college degree or not, prefers men over women in sales).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
No hard questions, in fact very easy basic questions, instead of actual questions that would help serve as a instrument for the best candidate.
