      Reporter Interview

      26 Aug 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Boston, MA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Boston Herald (Boston, MA) in Mar 2011

      Interview

Lunch with editor. Chance to show off work and tout eagerness to get scoops, break stories. Three day tryout, writing stories like crazy with editors pushing you. Not easy, always a story or two of someone who shows up for the tryout, is bombarded with assignments and disappears at lunch. If you survive, you have a shot at at getting the job, though that is not always a guarantee.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

There really wasn't a formal interview process. It was rather a multi-day, on the spot, job test.
