I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Border Crossers (Dallas, TX) in Oct 2017
Interview
I applied via email with my resume, cover letter and writing sample. 6 days later I received an email to schedule an interview. The Director of the Dallas office and the Program Associate of the New York office conducted the interview. The interview was very rushed; only 20 minutes. I found this to be ironic because the job description was four pages long, and within those four pages the description covered everything yet nothing at all. It was descriptive yet vague. The director didn't really seem to know how to conduct an interview, what questions to ask, and or how to ask the questions. The Program Associate had better questions and she only asked two. It was also evident that she had not thoroughly read over my resume, which was unsettling. I also thought it was odd that she wanted me to select one bullet point from a FOUR page job description as the reason I applied. The worst part is the director conducted the interview in lounge wear while drinking apple juice. It looked as if she'd just woke up; very unprofessional. Great organization with great potential but overall there seems to be a lack of clear direction; at least for the Dallas office.
