BlueScope Process Operator interview questions

I recently applied for a position at bluescope. I was invited to complete an online general assessment test, which was some reading comprehension, a bit of maths, and some puzzles to complete. The link they send you has a website where you can practice these types of tests and I would definately recommend doing that because some questions are very tricky. You have about 20 mins to complete around 15 questions. I was then invited to an online interview. They asked me questions that were safety focused, what motivates me, where do I see myself in 5 years, what do I know about the company and the position, and a few behavioural questions like tell me about a time when you worked as a team to solve a problem, what was your role and what was the outcome? What procedures do you follow in your day to day tasks in your current role? When have you noticed hazards in the workplace and how were they documented or avoided, things like that. If you’re like me and get super nervous before an interview, then do some research on the company and their values and watch some YouTube videos on interview tips. I recommend career vidz with Richard Munn. Get some notes prepared and practice saying them whenever you can so you’re comfortable when they ask those kinds of questions! The want good people not necessarily the most qualified people, so if you can be genuinely positive and can get along with people well then they like that. The next round of interviews are group assessment where you work as a group to solve a problem together. They want to see team work, problem solving, sharing ideas, working well together, listening skills etc. good luck!
