Lengthy, general questions family status.Asked about availability and commitment towards the company. Salary offered was average. Got offered a private health insurance plan. Rotations were on a 6 on and off basis.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Blue Shield Of California (Redding, CA) in Aug 2016
Interview
Started with a phone screen with Human Resources then a one on one with department head. Questions were the same old ones..... strengths/weaknesses, asked to describe a time when I failed and how I was able to overcome it. Interviewer obviously had another candidate in mind. Only lasted about 30 minutes and I never got any of my questions asked
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Blue Shield Of California (San Francisco, CA) in Dec 2013
Interview
Interview process seems to take a long time from start to finish. Not sure if is due to coordination of all parties, but delays sometimes makes it not worth it if you are looking for a job and currently unemployed. A more timely response is warranted. Also seemed like they were not prepared for the interview as a whole. The questions didn't seem well thought out pertaining to what they were hiring for.

Question 1
How do you feel you can change Blue Shield of California processes. This has expectation that you know what the processes are. Seems like a question for internal only employees.
