I applied online. I interviewed at Bloomberg (London, England) in Jul 2019
Interview
After applying online, I was asked to perform a video interview ie. recorded questions.
I was then invited to an assessment day which they would not reimburse my travel for. This consisted of a multiple choice maths test with some fill in the blank SQL statements thrown in too, a python test on HackerRank, an assessment where you're presented with a flow diagram and asked to improve it, and then a group exercise where you're given a brief and then have to present, argue against the others, then come to an agreement with on the issue of the brief (for me it was whether Uber should invest in their own autonomous fleet). The group was then sent away at lunch and asked to hang around for a call back. I was asked to come back but only within 2 weeks. On the day, it was a 30 minute interview with 2 managers.
Video call with 2-3 rounds interview with different people. Case was given in a group setting that you have to work with other candidates. After that you will get into breakout rooms for 1-2-1 interviews where they will ask about your motivation to join the company and why this role.
Did one interview I thought it went well but I was rejected at the first stage. Asked for feedback they said they choosed somebody already in the department.
Waste of time.
