I interviewed at Blackrock Neurotech (Salt Lake City, UT)
Interview
Outside of usual interview questions (ex. strengths, weaknesses, why did you apply, etc.), quickly got into technical background to learn about embedded systems/FPGA experience. When I asked about negative reviews regarding some components of the company, the interviewer was very honest about where improvements could be made and how to make them rather than providing a sanitized non-answer.

Question 1
How many years of experience do you have with Verilog?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Blackrock Neurotech in Sept 2025
Interview
The process required a lengthy coding and design assignment before any conversation with a person. The task was not only very long but the questions were also vague. Having done many technical interviews, this assignment demanded at least twice the effort of others. It's disrespectful to ask for that level of commitment without even an introductory call.

Interview
3 short interviews, one HR phone screen, one technical, and one cultural fit. Interviewers were all really nice, and the technical interview wasn’t too bad. We mostly talked about manufacturing processes and gd&t.
