Interviewing with BPI was disappointing, especially for an organization that claims to lead on sustainability and climate solutions. There was no sign of diversity at any level of the process. It was surprising and disheartening to see in 2025, given the values they promote publicly.
When I asked about DEI initiatives, the interviewers became defensive and struggled to provide even a basic answer. The team also came across as inexperienced (“green” in more ways than one) and unprepared to have deeper conversations about equity in climate work.
BPI’s mission sounds progressive on paper, but their hiring experience told a different story, one that lacked transparency, representation, and genuine commitment to inclusion.
