It started out with a phone screening which was pretty easy and basic. I was then asked to go into a 2nd round interview in person. This process was about 2 hours. The interviewers were very nice but it was probably one of the tougher interviews I had. There were a number of off the wall questions and they seemed to be trying to gauge how hard I work or handle past and hypothetical challenges.
It felt a bit hot and cold. One moment, they made me out to be a shining star to boost my confidence in the role. Next, they told me how hard it was and how I would have to work evenings and weekends to meet my goals at times. Then they talked about how I can make a lot but then told me how much time I was going to have to devote in order to do it. It was more of a discussion. The lead interviewer seemed to not ask questions. He would make a statement and be like "what do you think about that?" So the questions certainly weren't canned but I think the intent was to allow me to learn something and gauge my response to a hypothetical.
I had to hand write an "email". I also had to make a cold call on the spot in the interview. I have never been asked to do that before.
The office is very casual and seems very much like a startup. It has nice furniture and quite geeky. Nevertheless I felt comfortable in it.
