I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Bellotti Law Group (Cambridge, MA) in May 2014
Interview
I applied online via Craigslist and the next day after, perhaps 2 days after, I received a call from Alicia the Office Manager asking me to come in for an interview. I scheduled the interview about 2 days later where I met with Alicia. Office wise it is moderately small and didn't seem particularly busy at the moment. She started off explaining the companies field of work and what they are looking for in a candidate. Then she proceeded to interview me asking about my experiences, asking me why my internship experience didn't get extended into long term positions, why should I be hired, and what are my strengths and weaknesses. She ended the interview by asking if I had questions, which I did and asked a few questions about the candidate they are looking for and when are they looking to hire. I also was given a typing test which was kind of a bummer since I don't type particularly fast, especially not on a keyboard I am not accustomed to.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The most unexpected question washer asking me why my internships didn't extend into long term positions. To me, I would assume it's common knowledge most internships are just that, internships. However, I assume the question was gauged to correlate what type of worker I am to if I get a job after an internship.
