After sending in my cv and 60 second video; the process thereafter was positive, straightforward and efficient but that was until the ‘homework’ stage. I thought it was weird to be asked to do a presentation and not present it but rather send it in and then be told the next phase of the process. After the presentation was sent off, there was no confirmation of receipt or further instructions and after a week I had to get in contact to see if it was received. I was thanked for my patience and told they were interviewing more candidates and will get back to me ASAP. Three days later I’m told even though I have a lot of experience in sales and working with a community (for a sales position), they wanted someone ‘embedded in the beauty scene’. My lack of experience in this area was never hidden therefore should I have been asked to the interview let alone produce a presentation?
