Interview
The scheduling the process was smooth, but on the day of the interview I met with a team member who claimed to know nothing about the role. They asked simple questions, but I could tell they were just trying to get through and check of that the interview was done. They couldn’t give me details of the role or answer my questions. With the interview begin so scattered I didn’t expect to hear back and I was correct.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Beacon Digital (New York, NY) in Apr 2023
Interview
The process took about two weeks. I initially spoke with Ilana in HR who asked me some basic questions on my history and style. She then scheduled an interview for the next week with Loni, the VP of accounts, who asked me some more specific questions about the position.
I got an email a week after the second interview letting me know that they decided to go with another candidate.
Both interviewers were professional and transparent about the process.
Even though I passed up for the position, I was very impressed with the hiring team's open communication and follow up.

Question 1
How do you keep yourself organized when managing many cross functional teams and stakeholders?
It was a pretty intense interview process so I don't understand why no one got back to me to let me know I wasn't moving forward - even after I sent a follow up. I spent at least 5 hours talking to the team. Everyone seemed nice but you'd think they could spare a minute to tell people they haven't moved on. I don't care that I didn't get the job. That's how the job market is. I do care that I wasn't notified at all. Very rude and unprofessional.
