I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bausch + Lomb in Mar 2011
Interview
Applied through school career site, I was immediately contacts for a phone screen. I was told after the phone screen they would be reviewing all candidates and inviting the top ones to the headquarters in Rochester, NY.
A few weeks later I was invited to Rochester I had a brief interview with someone in HR and then a 1:1 interview with the Vision Care Sales Manager and another 1:1 with the Vision Care VP. Both interviews went good. I was contacted the next week and told that I did not get the position. Like someone else mentioned even though this is an entry level position, they are looking for candidates with recent sales experience. Overall it was a great experience and I will be applying again in a couple years when I get some experience under my belt.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bausch + Lomb in Aug 2018
Interview
After 4 interviews I have not heard back. I sent a follow up email after my thank you and still nothing. Very disappointed- at least an email giving me feedback why I wasn’t the chosen candidate would be helpful.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Bausch + Lomb
Interview
Interview process is rigorous. You have to really want this job in order to make it through. They look for someone who is coachable, so make sure you take the feedback given to you and use it towards the next interview.
Mostly phone interviews and 1 in person interview. They will pass you along to different Business Directors across different regions to get their opinion on if you'd be a good fit or not.
They like for people to close hard, so make sure you close on each interview and ask them to hire you for the position.
Also - there is a lot of role playing during the interviews, so make sure your consultative selling skills are up to par.
