Interview
The hiring process started with a phone interview with three people at the company. They decided to fly me out for an on-site interview, which consisted of talking to the potential bosses and co-workers, a lab tour, and ended with lunch. Everyone I talked to was very positive and overall it was a great experience. The work was very interesting and they were very clear about the expectations and the role I would fill.

Question 1
Nothing really unexpected, just questions about my own work and background.
Full day interview with multiple people with many asking the same questions multiple times.
Due to COVID, the audio didn’t work half the time. Many key individuals were not available.
Give a presentation around a research project you worked on. Then, several half hour block individual interviews with members of the analytics team. The questions were mostly around explaining past experience/how would you tackle such and such problem.
40 minute phone call followed by in person interview with a group of senior scientist as well as my boss. Fairly easy process, the time from application submission to final interview was less than a month.
