The interview experience was very mixed. For an HR position in this company, I had 10 rounds out of which 8 were mostly centered on checking my culture fit. There was a background check done as well(after 6 rounds). When they asked for a background check they even gave me a tentative deadline for joining the company and asked for references from my current company as well(which thankfully I did not give). Generally, a background check would be the last hurdle and then maybe 1 chat with a Senior Leader but I had 4 more rounds. In those rounds, there were some previous interviewees and an interview with the incumbent as well. But after the extra 4 rounds, I was told that they cannot hire me due to "culture fit". The people were warm but the questions asked by them were intrusive. In my view, the process followed and the indecisiveness of the company left a bad taste.
