A recruiter reached out to me and then I had a phone interview set up with one of the hiring managers. The phone call went well but after my initial follow up, I got no response for over a week. I was then told to attend an event to meet the team. I went to learn more about the company but it was actually an in person interview with 4 team members. They were very nice but it was not the right setting for a formal interview and I had 0 time to prep giving me a big disadvantage. I wasn't even aware walking in that it would be a full on interview. A few days later I was told they didn't want to move forward due to my lack of experience and they felt I wasn't ready for a job like this. I wish they decided this before having me complete tasks and having me drive an hour when they were aware of my experience before I attended. I felt like I didn't even have a chance from the start since I was unaware of what was going on. I felt like it was less questions about my experience and more talk on what they were expecting which was an extreme workload. Glad I went for interview experience but very disappointing interview process. The recruiter was extremely amazing to work with.
