I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at BNY (New York, NY) in Jan 2013
Interview
Three interviews with Senior Directors and Managing Director. All were very friendly. It definitely wasn't a high-stress interview. They did ask what I thought about BNY Mellon's way of doing business and specifically the strategies they used. So be prepared and do your HW on the website. Surprisingly, no behavioral questions were asked e.g tell about a time in your life when.... Know exactly what your goals is and what you enjoy doing... and preferrably say you enjoy doing exactly what the position entails. Good luck.

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at BNY (Miami, FL) in Apr 2015
Interview
Very long took around 3 hours. Met with numerous people. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. Talk a lot about what they were looking for in the company. Went along my resume and asked the role I played at each job. Also asked what type of person am I. Talked about working your way up. Overall a pretty good interview process.
I applied through university. I interviewed at BNY
Interview
Contacted by HR and scheduled a 2.5 hour interview. met with 6 people in 5 meetings of about a half hour each. Overall went well. Pretty basic questions with no significant technical knowledge of the market or wealth management required. Be prepared with questions you want them to answer.

Question 1
A case study was given before where estate planning and/or wealth/portfolio management knowledge would be really useful, but you can do research before. Only one interviewer asked about it.
