I had a 30 min phone screen with the recruiter and was scheduled for an hour interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager provided timeframe for each step of the process which was nice. But three weeks after the interview, the recruiter wasn’t responsive and I never got any update from the company on the role. I thought the recruiter would have a little more empathy and respect for the candidates during the interview process since they might face a similar situation in the massive layoffs trend. Overall, it was not a pleasant interview process and I will probably won’t consider working for this company in the future. The recruiter is the face of the company when attracting new talent and BD doesn’t seem to incorporate the human centered design process in their recruiting approach.
