I completed 2 online tests and sat through 3 rounds of interviews. I applied to a full-time permanent position. I repeatedly stated that I was only interested in the full-time role I applied for. One manager on the interview panel kept asking whether I’d be open to part-time work, despite repeatedly being told no. She provided feedback on multiple occasions that my resume was “impressive” and my interviews were “going well”, however I ended up receiving a rejection letter. Why advertise a full-time position, drag a candidate through a mini-marathon of hiring steps, and waste their time? If it was clear that my stance didn’t align with their intentions, they should have ended the process in Round 1.
