I filled out an application from their website, and after a few days, I received an email confirming that I had been selected for a phone interview in about 2 weeks from the email date. I researched possible questions that might be asked, and researched the company website and wikipedia info. Then during the interview the lady asked me about 5 questions related to what I knew about the company (BAE Systems Maritime), confirming which company site I was applying for, what my degree has given me to be successful in the internship, why I wanted to work for BAE, and also how could the internship help me in my future education. Then a week after the interview, I received an email letting me know that I had not been selected for the second interview. I thought I had done well in the interview, but to be honest I am not sure what went wrong with my performance. I prepared a lot for this interview, and I am not sure what they actually wanted to hear from me. I feel frustrated, but all I can do is to learn from this experience, and perform better next time.

Applied online. Got a phone interview a week later with 3 Engineers including the lead engineer of the group. Received an offer the next day with a week to review it.
