I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Aya Healthcare (San Diego, CA) in Aug 2019
Interview
I was first emailed by the Company Recruiter to set up a phone screen interview and set it up for the next day. He called and we had a good chat. Knowing I was looking to move back down to the San Diego area from about 1.5 hours away, he asked me to come in for an interview where I'd meet with him and the leads of the department. I met with him and the interview went well, he was very comforting. Apparently, the leads were working from home that day so they were unavailable to meet with me and he asked me to come back the week after. Of course I agreed but he knew I didn't live in the area so that was a bit frustrating. What made up for it was that he gave me tips to prepare for the interview with the leads. He expressed with great caution that the leads were looking for EYE CONTACT. So I heavily prepared myself to ensure I made eye contact. I came the next week and met with two leads. They were nice and asked me fairly standard questions about handling stressful situations and how I'd handle an upset customer. I, in turn, noticed the interviewers hardly making any eye contact with me and I think it's odd that the recruiter would stress something that they clearly don't practice. While I have researched the company and how they employ, they themselves say they hire someone by looking at their entire package, resume, cover letter, work experience, and interview. This time I believe they based me only on the interview with the leads.

Interview questions [1]
Question 1
- Tell me about yourself
- How would you handle a stressful situation
- What do you want to see out of your manager
I was scheduled to meet with two interviewers, but only one was present. The conversation seemed rushed and she seemed a bit disinterested. Overall, wasn't a super difficult interview. I think the process would have been less awkward if done in person.
