I applied to their IT Support Engineering position through Glassdoor and got an email the next day to schedule a Zoom interview.
I was interviewing with a man, he never give his name but just asked about why I wanted to leave my current position, what I was looking to gain and basically my main objective. When I was talking about my certifications that I have like A+, Network+ and Security+ he basically sound disinterested. He said certifications just mean you understand the fundamentals, I believe that's partly true but not everyone has that so it means way more than that. I was offended, especially when I mention that I wanted to get certified in Azure and he basically said they don't deal with that. After listening to him talk about the company, the role and the people I knew this wasn't a place I wanted to join or work for. But I still answer his questions about my experience, dealing with stress, ideal manager and etc. He said the second interview would be in person where I would have to solve a problem that is given to me. I got the email to schedule the second interview but I declined because I wasn't interested anymore. I interview at another company and they sound way more enthusiastic about my certifications along with my future plans on building up my resume, so I accepted their offer.
