Not a very standard procedure. It occurred to me that when the interviewer knows less than the interviewee, that is not a good sign for the candidate (interviewee). What I learned from my experience is that, even if the a candidate knows more than the interviewer, the candidate should not mention it. It is not the right or the wrong answer in an interview. It is always the answer the interviewer wants to hear from a candidate.
The process took the following steps:
1. phone screening from recruiter
2. online coding solve for a MarsRover project (which TrueLocal never even bother to check. Still you have do the test)
3. face-to-face test on a laptop do complete an existing project on Spring Frameowork. Those who are applying have to be careful about that. The environment they provide are:
- a MacBookPro laptop
- IntelliJ Idea
- No mouse
Therefore those who work in a Linux/Windows with Eclipse, may find it difficult.
4. After that, face-to-face technical questions.
