      Technical Project Manager Interview

      15 Jun 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Audible

      Interview

There were two phone interviews. The first was with a relatively junior and new Technical Project Manager who had only been there for 4 months. The questions were straightforward in terms of project management basics: handling dependencies on resources out of your control; identifying issues and how you would work towards resolution. It went well and I moved on to a second interview in the next week or so. The second interviewer certainly sounded more experienced but was unclear on the direction of his questions; cut the interview to an end right when i wanted to ask my questions about the role, organization, etc. The nature of his questions was more technically focused but pretty basic: name some data structures, when is it best to use one over another, what happens when you type a url in a browser (interactions with web servers, etc.). Thank you messages to interviewers had to go to the recruiter who would forward it on. After inquiring about where I stood in the process, I received no response. Until approximately 2 months later.

Questions were pretty basic per above.
