I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Atlassian in Oct 2022
Interview
I applied online. Atlassian interviewed me via Karat. The interview contains system design questions and a coding challenge. The system design questions they ask are pretty simple for senior software engineers. The coding challenge is a LetCode mid-hard. Karat gave candidates two attempts to pass the interview. I used both of them. The first interview was 90 minutes. The second is only 60. I told the recruiter about this, and she answered that 90 minutes interview was Karat's issue. It should be 60. According to my experience, the interview duration, and very different complexity coding challenges, all the candidates are not treated equally. Some candidates solve easy LetCode tasks (you can see questions from other candidates on Glassdoor) and have 90 minutes to solve them. Other candidates for the same role receive complex coding challenges and 25 minutes to solve them. Realistically, that time is not enough event to type the code.
Recruiter reached out to me then ghosted in the middle of trying to set up a meeting. Very disrespectful of my time. Just as well, how a company treats candidates is usually a good indicator of how they treat employees
Didnt get past OA, heard now has ai process. People are good but company is going downhill. Unfortunate for all good culture fits there s a lack of opportunity admist apex reviews to produce meaningful work.
Nice interviewer but i did not get an offer. good experience anyway i think.
I have heard good things about the company culture so i think it would be a good place to work
