Was contacted by HR via phone to schedule an in-person interview with the VP. The following week I sat down with the VP at Astra's office for the interview. The interview took about an hour and the VP asked typical questions about my the reason I wanted to leave my current employer, my background and work experience. He then asked more specific questions regarding project management duties and management style. We went over the company culture and I felt that the interview went well overall. At the end, the VP gave me his card and said that he would like to get me back in to sit down with the President and that they would contact me. After three weeks and not hearing back, I called their office and left a message with the VP to inquire about the position. I did not hear back. Then, a month later I called the VP again and left a message to inquire about the position and then mentioned that if they did decided to move forward with another candidate, if he would mind giving me some feedback on our interview so that it may help me on my continued job search. This phone call was also not returned. I understand that if a company is not interested in you they typically do not respond to your application or resume or sometimes they reply via email that they do not with to move forward with you. But, to go through an initial interview, be led to believe that they would like to schedule a follow-up interview and then to be completely ignored afterwards is both defeating and unprofessional. I was truly interested in workinf for Astra Group but if this is indicative of the leadership of this company then maybe it's better that it didn't happen.
