      Human Resources Manager Interview

      28 Dec 2025
      Anonymous employee
      Saint Petersburg, FL
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Associa (Saint Petersburg, FL) in Aug 2025

      Interview

The interview process was structured and progressed in several stages. It began with an initial screening call with a recruiter, which focused on my background, experience, and overall fit for the role. Next, I interviewed with the Regional HR Manager. This conversation included more in-depth discussion of my previous experience, along with typical behavioral interview questions related to employee relations, handling complex situations, and partnering with leadership. The third step was an interview with the Vice President of Human Resources. This interview continued to focus on past experience and behavioral-based questions, with an emphasis on judgment, approach to sensitive issues, and alignment with the organization’s values. The final stage was a meet-and-greet with Operations, including the Branch President. This was more conversational and focused on understanding the operational side of the business, leadership expectations, and overall team fit. Overall, the process was thorough and well-organized, with a strong emphasis on prior experience and behavioral interviewing.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked why I was interested in leaving my current role, along with several behavioral-based questions. Examples included questions like: “Tell me about a time you strongly disagreed with a manager or peer on something you felt was important to the business, and how you handled it.” Most of the questions focused on past experiences, conflict resolution, and how I approach difficult or sensitive situations.
