Interview
Attended an open interview day to see the office itself. Was there for around an hour. Had a short in office interview to gain more knowledge of the company and what they offer, then was booked in for a virutal interview. The interview itself was informal, and the interviewer was very hands on and friendly. She answered all of the questions I had and was more than happy to reiterate anything I wasnt 100% sure of understanding, which helped immensely.

Question 1
Have I had experience dealing with a potentially difficult customer before? Have I got financial experience? There were also a few competency based questions as well to gauge how I would handle certain situations.
1st interview was with Assistant Financial Controller based in London and Fund Treasurer based in Manchester. Fund treasurer was friendly and they were professional and answered all my questions. They asked me what I know about the company before they told me what the role was about specifically. They proceeded to ask me about myself and my career experience. The role was reporting to the assistant financial controller so he had lots of questions about my fund business/structure knowledge and wanted actual/specific examples of my team management experience. They also asked about which responsibilities were I most interested in and which ones I would want to learn more/need support on more. They also asked about my motivations on wanting the role. Interviewer recommended to use STAR interview method and to use more “I” statements.

Interview
1st call with HR where the role was explained
2nd meeting with HR and hiring manager again was explained the team and the company structure. I used the company website to get some information about the recent acquisitions and awards the company had.
3rd CFO and head of PMO was an open discussion. Where was explained the complexity of the company and how particular is that majority of the stakeholders are not able to make a decision when it’s needed. Where something is challenging and can generate project delays
4th various meeting to a green the salary and starting date
