I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Army National Guard (Newark, NJ) in May 2013
Interview
They ask dumb questions that they don't really care about in the first place. The only important thing that they care about and will ask after asking you dumb questions is "do you have any tattoos? Have you had any serious injuries, and if you do don't tell me what it is just say NO. When did you use drugs last, so we can avoid taking you to the drug testing till a certain time. How many push ups and sit ups can you do in 2mins and are you good at running?" They don't care if you are stupid, can't read or write.. As long as you can pass those thing, you are in.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Army National Guard (New York, NY) in Oct 2018
Interview
Too easy because I already hae years of experience in this field. Plus I have many schools, badges and multiple deployments under my belt. And having an expert infantry badge does not hurt as well.

There is no interview process... you take a test and whatever your score is what opportunities are available for you. I wanted infantrymem even though I had a very high score... too easy.
